PROGRAM FEES AND TUITION
As a non-profit, we work hard to keep our fees as reasonable as possible while still providing the level of support, programming and individual attention that makes Whytecliff different. We also try to make the program accessible to as many families as we reasonably can.
Currently, program fees range from $9,550 – $22,250* per year for BC students
* Note: program fees may vary depending on a child’s special needs designation, Ministry funding, or need for additional 1-on-1 supports. International students who are already in the country who wish to transfer from another school may on occasion transfer to Whytecliff. Reach out for fee information.
Access to a Diverse Range of Services and Supports
There’s no such thing as “one-size-fits-all,” especially for children with diverse learning needs. That’s why Whytecliff structures program fees as a range.
Each student works from a program tailored to their strengths, needs, interests and goals, so fees can vary from one student to another depending on their special needs designation and the level of support they need to truly be successful.

In the spirit of being open and transparent, we also like to explain why we charge tuition and program fees in the first place. As an independent school, Whytecliff receives no funding for our facilities and receives less operating funding than public school districts.
Tuition helps offset some of that difference, while program fees allow us to maintain a 6:1 student-to-educator ratio or better and provide the wide range of therapeutic programming, activities and individualized supports that are an important part of the Whytecliff experience.
We also provide considerable value beyond the traditional school day through additional programming and activities, individualized learning support, frequent on- and off-site meals, occasional overnight trips, and limited transportation assistance where space and capacity allow.
Tax Deductible*
As Whytecliff is accredited both as a school and therapeutic resource, a portion of program fees may be tax deductible, in certain situations.
* Note: If your child has a challenge for which you are able to obtain a referral from a medical professional, a portion of Whytecliff’s therapeutic programming my qualify as a medical expense. Please talk to us for further details.
Autism Funding
If your child is diagnosed with autism, and you have been approved for funding assistance through the Ministry of Children and Family Development, some of our services such as out of schooling tutoring, behavioural therapy, life skills and social skills that DO NOT RELATE TO SERVICES PROVIDED BY A TYPICAL SCHOOL may be eligible for funding assistance.
Financial Assistance
We know that the cost of a specialized program can be difficult for some families.
If program fees are a concern, please talk to us. Depending on your circumstances, there may be outside funding or bursary options worth exploring. We can recommend an organization that provides assistance to some families with household incomes below $75,000. Funding is limited, and proof of income is required.
We also occasionally have access to additional bursaries or scholarships made possible by generous donors, family foundations, charities, and companies that care. Because these resources are limited, requests for assistance are considered on a case-by-case basis. We also ask families seeking assistance to make a good faith effort to explore other sources of support that may reasonably be available to them, so that limited bursary funds can be directed where they are most needed.
